The BYU Electrical and Computer Engineering Department has established
objectives for the
accomplishments of alumni in the years after graduation, as
well as
learning outcomes that define the skills and
knowledge students should have at the time of graduation. These goals are
primarily oriented towards the undergraduate program, but are of
value in understanding the mission of the graduate program and the
department as a whole.
Competencies for this Course
After completing this course, students should have an understanding of professional
ethics, be aware of contemporary issues of relevance to the Electrical and Computer Engineering
Profession, and be able to use modern information sources
to learn about recent developments in particular technical fields.
